The residents of Coronation Street are in for quite a shock when their newest nightmare neighbours move in next week.

Newcomers Lou and Mick Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty and Joe Layton) are set to move into Mawdsley Street, with their house backing onto Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney Brown’s (Sam Aston).

It is Gemma who first gets acquainted with Lou when they bump into each other in the corner shop and recognise each other from the Bessie Street school gates.

Later, Lou heads to the Rovers and asks Gemma to join her for a drink, and the next day Lou invites Gemma and Chesney on a double date with her and Mick.

However, this budding friendship may be destroyed before it’s even begun, as a new spoiler video shows.

In upcoming scenes, Chesney returns home to Gemma in a fluster, claiming to have spotted the van that has been terrorising him.

Little does he know, the van belongs to Mick!

Viewers will remember that the feud started when Mick cut Chesney up for a parking space, and after blocking the van in as payback, he returned to his car to find the space empty and a big scratch on his car.

After repeatedly seeing the van on the cobbles, Chesney poured sugar in the petrol tank to get his own back once and for all.

Unfortunately, he was caught on CCTV and forced to pay a substantial fine.

In the new video, the van pulls up alongside Lou, who is quick to greet Mick with a kiss, before jumping in beside him.

‘I think the audience will be shocked to realise that it’s Mick who was harassing Chesney all this time because it’s been drip fed out and from what I’ve seen, no one knew what was happening with the man with the silver van,’ actor Joe Layton revealed.

‘It’s been great to have that kind of depth to play with and it’s been fun. Working with Sam and Dolly-Rose has been amazing, like I said, everyone at Corrie is so welcoming and the Winter-Browns are an iconic family!’
