Tim hides a major secret from Sally and warns she must never find out in Coronation Street

Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) makes a major discovery in Coronation Street and it leads him to one conclusion – Sally (Sally Dynevor) can’t ever know about it.

Sounds risky.

Earlier this year, Sally started to fear Tim may end up being unfaithful to her when she caught him hanging out with newly single Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and some drunk women.

Sally ordered Tim home and he did just that, walking out of the pub like a dog with his tail between his legs.

In the conservatory, Tim’s hope of relaxing in the hot-tub was destroyed when Sally broke some news to him. She said that while Steve is a single man and going on lots of dates, she doesn’t want Tim anywhere near his best friend.

Sal made an exception and said Tim and Steve could still see each other at work, but outside of the cab office was a complete no go, certain people might start talking if they see Tim and Steve speaking to single women.

Afterwards, Tim was in an awful mood after Sally made him ‘split up’ with Steve. Following an afternoon in the pub, Sally got herself some chips, sat beside her husband, and wondered what was up with him.

Tim expressed his sadness over Sally’s decision to stop him seeing Steve, and wondered why she did it. She admitted that Tim doesn’t see what other women see, and reckon he’s as ‘fit as a butcher’s dog’.

While they face a dramatic problem next week, it has nothing to do with their relationship – thankfully.

Finding spilt food in the kitchen, Sally and Tim reckon they’ve got a mouse.

After establishing a few more furry fellas have been in the shed, Sally and Tim come across a bag and realise someone’s been living in their garden.

Later, Mason (Luca Toolan) watches from across the street as Tim heads to Street Cars with the bag. Caught red handed trying to grab the item, Mason explains to Tim that he’s now homeless.

Towards the end of the week, having failed to find Mason a bed for the night, Tim lets him into the house and says he can sleep on the sofa, but Sal must never – ever – find out.

Famous last words, let’s be honest.
