Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) is hiding a huge secret from her family in Coronation Street.

The beloved character decided to assist with a search in Monday’s (April 22) episode of the ITV soap after Sam (Jude Riordan) revealed Freddie the dog had gone missing.

Sam decided to help Nina (Mollie Gallagher) and Roy (David Neilson) out by walking the pooch, but returned to the cafe in a stress with the news Freddie had ran off.

Toyah made her way to North Cross Park, where Sam had been walking.

When she arrived, she found some adults with shovels. They believed Roy had buried Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) body in the same place they had seen Freddie digging.

Toyah was shocked by the development but as her emotions increased, she grabbed one of the shovels and smashed a car window, with the sleuths recording the entire event.

Thankfully, Nick (Ben Price) spotted Toyah while he was searching for Freddie and managed to calm her down.

Back at the flat, after Toyah snapped at Sam, Nick started to worry about her. He said that most of the Weatherfield residents are upset about Roy being behind bars but aren’t reacting in the same way she is.

Toyah remained upset and distant for the rest of the day. While Leanne (Jane Danson) was focused on how Toyah’s ‘negativity’ was impacting her, Nick convinced himself that something else was going on with her.

That evening, after buying a single yellow rose from the flower shop, Toyah made her way back to the park and placed it on the ground.

‘I’m so sorry’, she said.

Later in the week, Toyah will reveal her secret to Nick.

In what is already being called a controversial storyline, Toyah will tell Nick that after being raped by Phil Simmonds in the early 2000s, she gave birth to a stillborn baby girl and buried her in the park.
