Michael and Ronnie Bailey (Ryan Russell and Vinta Morgan) found themselves helping Joel Deering (Calum Lill) at his flat in Monday’s (July 22) episode of Coronation Street, unaware Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) is also living there.
Ever since Lauren returned to Weatherfield, Joel has found himself desperate to get rid of her. As it stands, the plan is to move her to Ireland but until Joel has enough money, Lauren needs to stay put.
At Dee-Dee’s (Channique Sterling-Brown) flat, Joel was seen carrying another box of his things. He announced that was the final few bits from his place, which means he’s now officially moved in.
Dee-Dee then leapt up and reminded Joel about the chest of drawers still sitting in his old bedroom. Not wanting to lose out on drawer space, Dee-Dee told Joel to go back to the flat and collect it.
With Michael and Ronnie coming along to help, Joel quickly managed to get Lauren out of the flat to buy baby items before they all arrived.
As Michael and Joel moved the furniture, Ronnie announced he would be the supervisor during their afternoon, and his main responsibility would be keeping their beers cold.
Just as he opened the fridge though, Ronnie was taken aback to find it full of in-date ready-meals.
Curious that Joel was maybe seeing someone else and lying to them and Dee-Dee, Ronnie and Michael confronted him.
As Joel’s mind raced, he eventually covered by saying a decorator had been in recently, and he must’ve cheekily filled the fridge with items.
He managed to get away with it this time, but is this a sign Joel’s downfall is looming?
Will Michael and Ronnie be the ones to work out his secret?
