đ Heartbreaking & Emotional Goodbye! Daniel Brocklebank has officially filmed his final scene as Billy â ending an 11-year Coronation Street journey that fans will never forget.

Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank has confirmed he has filmed his last scene as Billy Mayhew in a bittersweet post. Brocklebank debuted as Billy in 2014, with his vicar character having romances with Sean Cotton, Todd Grimshaw and, more recently, Paul Foreman, whom he married in 2024.
Alongside Paul, Billy was involved in a hard-hitting storyline about Motor Neurone Disease (MND), a life-shortening neurological condition that ultimately caused Paulâs premature death.

In an Instagram post, the Billy actor announced heâd shot his last scenes as Billy, saying his 11-year sting on Corrie has gone by âin a blinkâ.
âThatâs it. Last scene filmed. Bye bye @coronationstreet. Bye bye Billy,â Brocklebank wrote in the caption.
âThe last 11 years have gone by in a blink. Iâve adored every moment of being part of this special family. I canât thank @itv and all at Corrie enough. Itâs been a ride. I adore you all.â

In a previous post, Brocklebank posted a picture with co-star Harriet Bibby, who portrays Billyâs adopted daughter Summer Spellman. In the snap, the duo hug on set as Bibby is visibly emotional.
âMy final day today working with this beautiful human. Iâve loved playing her tv dad. What an honour it has been,â Brocklebank wrote.
He described Bibby as âan incredible womanâ and added he âshall miss her terriblyâ.
âThank goodness Iâll get to see her in real life for dinners, walks & cuddles,â he concluded as Bibby replied: âWhat an adventure weâve had!  I love you loads xâ
Brocklebank announced he would leave the cobbles earlier this year, with his final scenes set to air in 2026 as part of a âmajor storylineâ.

âI have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life,â the soap star said of his exit.
âI have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not looked forward to going into work.
âI love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds.â
Corrie producer Kate Brooks added: âBilly will be involved in a major storyline over the coming months, which will see him tested in ways he never imagined, as friendships and his faith are pushed to the limit.â
