Coronation Street video shows Carla Connor miss her chance to show Lisa Swain how she truly feels
Carla Connor (Alison King) and DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) have made their relationship official in Coronation Street, but it seems that Carla is keen to keep it on the down-low in a new spoiler video.
The women spent months fighting their feelings for each other before finally giving in and sharing a passionate afternoon together.
When Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) reacted badly, Lisa called an end to their union before it had even really begun, leaving Carla disappointed.
However, when Carla was left with a bleed on the brain after being attacked in the factory, things were put into perspective for Lisa, who revealed that she wanted to give their relationship a chance.
In a new spoiler video, the couple prepare for what Lisa is expecting to be a romantic spa date – though Carla appears to have other ideas.
After realising that Carla wants to receive her treatments in a separate room, Lisa points out that it’s hardly the romantic setting they had planned.
Carla is quick to argue that couples massages have never been relaxing for her in the past, before the pair are interrupted by hotel owner Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney).
Thrilled to see the women making the most of her spa deals, Debbie enthuses about how nice it is to see friends enjoying the treatment together.
Before Lisa has the chance to set her straight, Carla interrupts and assures Debbie that they are looking to have a nice time, which leaves Lisa feeling put out.
However, Carla’s decision to keep their relationship under wraps may be snatched away later in the week, after an unfortunate incident.
When Kirk Sutherland (Andrew Whyment) causes a power outage at the factory while turning on the Christmas lights, Carla is left with no choice but to close up.
While the factory lot enjoy their afternoon of freedom in the Rovers, Carla decides to let her hair down herself by spending the afternoon in bed with her girlfriend.
However, when Kirk, Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) and Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) are chucked out of the pub for bringing in their own booze, they take the party back to Carla’s flat, where they are shocked to find Lisa in just a dressing gown.
Is Carla and Lisa’s relationship set to become public knowledge?
