Daisy Midgeley is set to get some big news next week on Coronation Street – as the paternity of her baby is revealed.
Charlotte Jordan has quit her role as Daisy on the ITV soap, but not before a huge storyline plays out. Fans of the soap will know Daisy is currently pregnant with a baby – but is unsure whether it is Kit Green’s or Daniel Osbourne’s.
Daniel and Daisy slept together behind Bethany Platt’s back, whilst Daisy has been seeing police officer Kit. However, when she found out she was pregnant, she was unsure who the baby’s father was.
Next week on the ITV soap, Daisy is less than impressed by Jenny’s decision to sell some of her stuff to get cash for Carla, and is even more incensed when she finds out that Bethany has bought her designer handbag. Bethany tells Daniel she has accepted the job offer in London and wants him to move, but will he agree?
Daisy gets some shock news next week
Elsewhere, Sarah and Daniel are celebrating Bethany’s new job, and when Bethany finds the positive pregnancy test in Daisy’s bag, she wishes her well – assuming it’s Kit’s baby. Daisy is left fuming when she finds that Daisy and Daniel have set a wedding date.
Later, Jenny finds Daisy doubled up in pain and she is rushed to the hospital, where Kit turns up and Daisy invites him to stay for the scan. Daisy receives the result of the DNA test and reads it but deletes it quickly.
She leaves Jenny reeling as she tells her that it doesn’t matter who the father of the baby is and it shall remain a secret. Jenny is left stunned – but who is the father of the baby and will anyone find out?
It comes after The Mirror confirmed there will be a big return in store amid the Daisy exit storyline.
A source told us: “Christina’s return certainly causes drama and she’s going to be ruffling some feathers throughout her time on the Cobbles. It’s a brilliant storyline for Christina and Daisy in what will be some of Charlotte’s final months on screen.
“It’ll be sad to say Daisy leave the show, but we’ve got a few months of Christina causing all kinds of chaos before then. The cast are thrilled to welcome Amy back to the show in what will no doubt be a big storyline for the pair.”
