Coronation Street fans reckon they’ve sussed out Jason Grimshaw’s secret child on the street, and it turns out to be a face we all know.
Jason (played by Ryan Thomas) first strutted onto the soap in 2000 as Eileen Grimshaw’s (Sue Cleaver) lad. It wasn’t long before he was winning hearts left, right, and centre.
Not to mention, Jason’s love life has been a rollercoaster, featuring his nuptials with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and a string of rocky flings with the likes of Becky McDonald (Katherine Kelly), Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan), and Stella Price (Michelle Collins).

In 2016, Jason packed his bags for Thailand, leaving the cobbles behind. But fast forward to last week, after a nine-year hiatus, Jason popped back up in Weatherfield as part of his telly mum Sue Cleaver’s farewell plot, reports Leicestershire Live.
Ryan spilled the beans earlier on why Jason’s returned: “He’s struggling for money, his girlfriend left him, and he needs his mum. He says he’s come back for Eileen, but he really needs a cuddle and his safety net.”

But Jason’s homecoming wasn’t without its drama – he ended up between the sheets with Danielle (Natalie Anderson), who’s hitched to Todd’s (Gareth Pierce) other half Theo Silverton (James Cartwright).
However, in a speculative twist, viewers now predict Jason may discover a surprising DNA secret. On a Coronation Street fan Facebook page, one user hypothesised: “Could Jason have a secret kid somewhere?”.
Several people concurred: “Surprised he doesn’t to be fair.”

Fans have predicted a DNA twist
Another fan suggested that rewriting a few elements of the story might make this idea possible, commenting, “They could retcon a few things to make it happen.”
Other theories include Jason being the father of existing characters Lauren Bolton or Betsy Swain. A person noted: “Imagine if he’s really Lauren’s dad? We know she’s unsure of who her dad is…” Another commentator proposed, “Yes! ! Or maybe he’s Betsy’s father.”
