Coronation Street fans reckon they’ve cracked the mystery surrounding DS Lisa Swain and her late wife Becky.
Soap viewers will recall that Lisa was wed to Becky, with whom she shared a daughter, Betsy. But in 2021, disaster struck when Becky, also a copper, was tragically mowed down while on duty.
Earlier this year, DS Swain revealed that the wicked Radcliffe brothers, Matty and Logan, were at the helm of the car that fatally struck Becky in the hit-and-run incident.
The pair have since been nicked and banged up for offing their own brother, Mason, who had tried to help DS Swain nail his family for Becky’s murder.
In recent scenes, Lisa fretted over Betsy’s probing questions about Becky, confiding in her new flame Carla Connor that she was desperate to prevent Betsy from stumbling upon a letter revealing Becky was under investigation for corruption before her untimely demise, reports OK!.
On Friday’s episode, Lisa, currently undergoing therapy following the murder of her colleague Craig Tinker whilst on police duty, had an epiphany with her work therapist on what would have been her and Becky’s anniversary.

Lisa confessed to her therapist, Floyd, that she wondered if there was more to Becky’s death than first appeared and if she was somehow bent.
After the therapy session, Floyd was spotted making a cryptic phone call to an unknown person, where he gave an update on Lisa’s therapy session.
As the plot thickened, Carla paid a clandestine visit to Logan in prison, seeking any information he might have about Becky. Logan, however, was only willing to spill the beans for a price, and after being paid, he revealed a single clue: the name Tia Wardley.
Back at home, Lisa dug deep into her research but came up empty-handed, finding only a news article about an American tennis star hanging up her racket. Undeterred, Lisa snuck into DI Costello’s office at the police station and began snooping through his emails for any mention of Becky Swain.

But her sleuthing was short-lived, as DI Costello caught her red-handed and was furious, refusing to give her any information and warning that she should be sacked for her actions.
Later, Lisa confronted her colleague Kit Green after discovering his name on the computer, requesting access to Becky’s file. Kit confessed that DI Costello had shut down all requests, sparking Lisa’s ire.
Meanwhile, Logan faced the consequences of talking to Carla, getting beaten up in prison.

Fans took to social media to share their theories, with one speculating: “I’ve got an idea after today’s episode that D.I. Costello (Swain’s boss) is the one who is corrupt! He’s shutting down Lisa and also Kit and I think he’s the one who’s arranged to have Logan beaten up in prison! It’s all going to lead to Lisa catching him out.”
Others chimed in, with one replying: “Sounds credible to me. Wonder if Costello had anything to do with Becky’s death”, while another account added: “I said that from start, Becky wasn’t corrupt she was bringing him down so he got rid of her” and a different user agreed: “Yes I think you’re on to something there.”
