Coronation Street fans are convinced a cobbles legend is going to get killed off and it’s not looking good for Dev Alahan.

Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) has been a firm favourite on the soap since his debut in 1999, and he has played a part in several big storylines.

From his many relationships and spats to his beloved marriage with his late wife Sunita (Shobna Gulati), Dev’s time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama.

Especially this week, as in Wednesday’s episode (August 6), he planned to tie the knot to partner Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) – but in typical soap fashion, their big day didn’t go to plan.

Bernie and Dev’s wedding took place this week

Before walking down the aisle, Bernie caught grandson Brody (Ryan Mulvey) attempting to rob Dev’s house in a bid to get some cash to run away with his little sisters. Fortunately, Bernie managed to talk some sense into him.

Later on, while at the wedding though, Bernie suddenly struggled to breathe, and ended up getting rushed to hospital. Fuming, Dev’s son Aadi (Adam Hussain) confronted Brody, thinking he had something to do with it.

Things took a dramatic turn

Fortunately, Bernie turned out to be fine and it was revealed she had an allergic reaction to flowers. She then gathered her new blended family, including Brody and Aadi, at the hospital where Bernie and Dev eventually tied the knot.

However, back on the cobbles, Brody cornered Aadi and issued him a stern warning to stay away from him. He said: “Word to the wise, don’t ever get like that in my face again. Cause you know if you do? I won’t be responsible for my actions. And I hate being irresponsible. Do you get me?”

Fans have predicted a shock death ahead

Now, with Aadi actor Adam’s soap exit confirmed, fans think he could be killed off by Brody. On a Corrie Facebook fan page, one person said: “Just when we thought Brody was turning a corner! What’s his problem? I don’t think it’s going to end well with him and Aadi at all.”

Someone else added: “Yeah same, he might kill him?” A third then chimed in: “I thought that, Aadi’s leaving as well isn’t he.” Another also penned: “Definitely.”
