Coronation Street fans predict huge twist for Carla and Lisa after proposal
Coronation Street viewers are convinced they’ve cracked a massive twist heading for Lisa Swain and Carla Connor as their blossoming romance reaches fever pitch.
Following their romantic connection last year, Carla and Lisa’s relationship has flourished, and in forthcoming scenes, Carla sets her proposal scheme in motion.
Initially intending to pop the question in the Rovers, her plans went awry, prompting her to orchestrate another attempt with a picturesque garden setting as her romantic backdrop.
However, Lisa is also plotting her own proposal, completely unaware that her partner harbours identical intentions.
Yet Coronation Street enthusiasts suspect the couple’s simultaneous proposal schemes aren’t their only hurdle, judging by a recently released teaser, reports Leicestershire Live.

The preview depicts Lisa appearing content before her expression suddenly shifts to distress and astonishment as a wine glass crashes to the floor.
Whilst her daughter Betsy faces peril after stepping into traffic, soap devotees believe it’s actually the unexpected return of Lisa’s supposedly deceased wife Becky that’s triggered the detective’s stunned reaction.
A fresh theory proposes that Becky never actually perished and is poised to arrive on the cobbles after locating her wife, who has since moved forward and established a fresh chapter.
On X, one Corrie enthusiast posted: “This is very much the face of someone who’s ‘dead’ wife has suddenly rocked up to say hi… Enter Ms Becky Swain.”
Another person added: “She walks in and someone has broken in and written ‘Becky Swain is alive’ with red graffiti paint on Carla’s newly decorated walls!!!”
A third said: “I’ve been saying Becky is alive for a while but now i REALLY think Becky is alive and i’m SCARED #swarla #Corrie.”

“Face of a wife to whom has just found out her dead wife is alive…. Becky is coming out of hiding becoz Betsy is fighting for her life,” a fourth predicted.
Others weren’t so sure and questioned the theory, pointing out that there could be more to the story, especially after the recent arrival of newcomer Tia Wardley.
“After the ‘mrs’ cards and house tour of Sydney saying there’s good stuff coming and ‘memory making’ in the house, I don’t think Becky is alive. It would blow their world apart if she was? Maybe this is Lisa being threatened by Tia/Costello or someone breaking in? #swarla #corrie,” a fan wondered.
Another simply stated: “As long as it’s not Becky being alive I’m open to any storyline! ! #Swarla #Corrie.”
