Coronation Street fans have ‘worked out’ the true identity of Dee-Dee Bailey’s new boyfriend – and it’s not going to end well.

It’s fair to say Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) has had a dramatic past 12 months on the cobbles. Last year, she was engaged to solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill).

However, he was killed off in September, after his sick crimes came to light, and despite Joel being murdered, Dee-Dee’s nightmare didn’t end there as she found out she was pregnant with his child.

Adamant she didn’t want anything to do with it, Dee-Dee planned to give the baby away to her brother James (Jason Callender).

Dee-Dee has been growing close to Ollie

And in March, Dee-Dee gave birth to baby Laila after a horrific birth experience that saw her lose a lot of blood and have a hysterectomy. Dee-Dee struggled at first and was torn on whether or not she wanted to keep Laila.

However, following some family drama, Dee-Dee and James agreed to co-parent her. And in recent weeks, things have appeared to look up for lawyer Dee-Dee.

The pair enjoyed another date

Last month, she met newcomer Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) in the Rovers, and the pair quickly hit off. He later made a return to the soap when it was revealed he was going to be one of Dee-Dee’s clients after his involvement in a dangerous driving case.

Despite being hesitant at first to mix business with pleasure, Dee-Dee decided to strike up a romance and in Wednesday’s episode (September 3) the pair headed out on a date at the pub.

But now, fans have ‘rumbled’ the true identity of Ollie and it’s not good news for Dee-Dee. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person said: “Could this Ollie be a journalist or person obsessed with Joel as he is acting rather strange.”

Someone else added: “I think he seems a bit dodgy…too pushy.” A third chimed in: “I think defo a reporter trying to get an inside scoop.”

Another person also wrote: “He’s creepy. He’s way too obsessed and pushy towards Deedee. I can’t look at him, he gives me stalker vibes, another DV/Sexual assault storyline coming up.
