Coronation Street star Tony Maudsley has been supported by his co-stars as he shared an emotional update. The TV star from Kirkby often shares insights into his personal life to his followers on Instagram.

The George Shuttleworth actor recently announced the death of his dog Bosie, a Bichon Frise, who often featured on Tony’s social media accounts. In May, the soap star shared a post to mark his pet’s 13th birthday, however Tony has now confirmed she has died.

Tony shared a photo of a tattoo of Bosie and added the caption: “Had to say goodbye to my Bosie a few weeks ago. Been a bit too heartbroken to share till now. He’s always featured very heavily on my Insta posts as you know.

“Saddest day of my life and I’ll miss him terribly. But now thanks to the brilliantly talented brother of my telly sister Jodie, Marko Prenger at @handofhopetattoo, Bosie will now walk with me everywhere, sitting just above my ankle, forever.

“Thank you Marko. This made me feel better more than you know.”

Tony’s Coronation Street co-stars rushed to the comments to send their love and support.

Sally Carman, who portrays Abi Webster on the cobbles, said: “Sending all of the love in the world bud.”

Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Windass, said: “So sorry Tony. Sending you all the love.” and Gai Pierce, who stars as Todd Grimshaw added love heart emojis.

Another called Morgan said: “So sorry, Tony. The love is so pure and the loss is unbearable xx.”

The post was also liked by Lucy Fallon (Bethany Platt), Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price) and Daniel Brocklebank (played Billy Mayhew).

He also played hairdresser Kenneth Du Beke in the popular ITV sitcom Benidorm from 2011 to 2018.
