Coronation Street fans believe they’ve uncovered Carl Webster’s hidden affair, and it’s not with Abi.

Soap viewers will know that Carl (Jonathan Howard) has been having a secret romance with Abi (Sally Carman), who is married to his older brother, Kevin (Michael Le Vell).

Last week saw Kevin gearing up to whisk his family off on a Mallorca getaway, but Abi lied about misplacing her passport to get some quality time with Carl.

Their romantic rendezvous was swiftly interrupted when Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) spotted the pair kissing through the kitchen window.

With Tracy threatening to spill the beans to Kevin about their secret affair, Carl found himself backed into a corner and forced to negotiate, reports Leicestershire Live.

“Well, I’m going through a divorce at the moment and they don’t come cheap,” Tracy declared.

When a frustrated Abi reminded her they were meant to be friends, Tracy shot back: “When it suits you. All the while, I was trying to get off with him, and you were sleeping with him. You must have been laughing at me.”

Tracy subsequently demanded £10,000 as the price for keeping quiet, prompting Carl to announce his plans to steal motors from the garage to raise the funds.

Now, numerous Corrie enthusiasts suspect that Carl might be having yet another secret romance with an unlikely Weatherfield local.

Following Carl’s recent exchange of phone numbers with personal trainer James Bailey (Jason Callender), soap watchers are convinced the duo could be conducting a clandestine affair behind Abi’s back.

One viewer speculated on Reddit: “I think Carl is having a second affair with James. They had that scene last week when they exchanged numbers for personal training, and James keeps talking about having a new boyfriend. It wouldn’t surprise me if it shows that they are hooking up as well.”

Another chimed in: “Ooo, this is possible,” while a third added: “What a great twist.”

Adding to the speculation, a fourth fan said: “This would be wild. I also think Abi might be pregnant too.”
