Lorraine Kelly has broken her silence on the cuts at ITV which mean her eponymous show has been axed for 22 weeks of the year. The TV presenter, 66, is used to being on air for an hour every day, 52 weeks of the year â but with swathes of budget cuts hitting the broadcaster, it is now running for just 30 minutes per day, 30 weeks of the year.
In a new interview with Saga Magazine, Lorraine was asked how she felt about the cuts, and admitted: âReally rubbish. A lot of my team got made redundant. It was really hard and harder for them. We were very close-knit, but itâs all about budget. All television shows are in the same boat, weâre not alone.â

She previously told the Mirror: âI donât see me going anywhere until people get fed up, you know? Until people say, âIâve had enough of that one.â
âItâs really heartbreaking to split up the team. A lot of them have been with me for more than 20 years, and theyâre my friends. Iâve grown up with them.
âThey were babies when they started with me, and now theyâve got babies of their own.â

But asked if she would consider early retirement, she insisted last year: âAbsolutely not. I am going to be toddling off on my Zimmer frame, and even then, Iâll be coming in.â
In her Saga interview, Lorraine also named the worst guest sheâs ever had â and itâs a Hollywood legend.
She admitted: âWeâve had a few big stars whoâve been really a***y. Bruce Willis was one, but now I think, âWas it because he was having a bad day, or was it the start of his dementia?ââ
