Spain (and Donald Trump) lift the World Cup trophy

Spain’s long-awaited World Cup celebrations included one unexpected and awkward moment involving United States President Donald Trump.

After handing the World Cup trophy to Spain captain Rodri alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino, Trump did not immediately step away from the podium.

Instead, he remained standing just to the side of Rodri, but still clearly in the frame, as the Spain captain prepared to lift the trophy for the first time.
