Coronation Street fans are certain they ‘know’ how Jenny Connor will leave the cobbles, following the news of her shock axe.

Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) has been a staple on the ITV soap for years, making her debut in 1986. And it’s fair to say she’s played a part in several big storylines.

From shock baby kidnap to her near-death experience being trapped inside a sinkhole, Jenny’s time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama.

Especially recently, as earlier this year, she was left devastated after being booted out of the Rovers Return following years of being the iconic pub’s landlady.

However, this week, it was announced that actress Sally will be leaving the soap – with an “exciting” exit storyline planned.

And according to The Sun, Sally has been left “devastated by the decision.” She also confirmed on social media that her time on soap had come to an end following a 10-year stint.

Now, fans have already ‘worked out’ how she leaves – and it’s not looking good.

On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, reacting to Jenny star Sally’s shock axe, one person said: “Why are they getting rid of the good ones! She’s a good actress.”

Someone else then suggested that she could be killed off, in a heartbreaking twist. They wrote: “Probs gonna kill her off aren’t they.”

A third agreed: “Yep, can’t see her having a happy exit in my opinion.” Another chimed in: “I thought the same.”
